DSC02968.JPG - A Beefeater (Yeoman) at the entrance to the Tower of London. Yeomen Warders act as official guards of this royal residence which started off as a palace but gained its notoriety as the most infamous prison. Whoever entered the Tower, was unlikely to leave it alive. Orisoners were brought in on a barge through Traitors’ Gate.
