London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo. It was opened in London on 27 April 1828, and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study.
Today it houses a collection of 755 species of animals, with 16,802 individuals, making it one of the largest collections in the United Kingdom.
With so much to see and do this half term, a visit to ZSL London Zoo is the perfect day out for the people of all ages.
Join in with free activities all half term with 'Stories from the Zoo' week.
And with a number of indoor enclosures and animal houses, you can also escape the chill and get transported to tropical climates!
