Enrolment procedure

- If you are applying for a Tier 4 general student visa, a skype interview will be arranged between you and an employee at the Burlington School of English to test your level of English and your reasons for coming to the UK
- Invoices will be sent with a breakdown of the course cost, accommodation and other relevant fees. You will have the option to pay via bank transfer or credit card
- Once full payment is received and all necessary documents have been receieved, we will send you a copy of your visa letter or CAS number
We suggest that you apply at least 4 weeks prior to your arrival date.
Documents required
General Student Visa (Tier 4 students)
• A signed copy of the Burlington School Enrolment, accommodation and Tier 4 application forms.
• A photocopy of the student’s passport. The page(s) with the photograph, name, date of birth and passport number.
• An English Language certificate, which is internationally recogniSed (including TOEIC IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC, BULATS). The certificate should have been issued no more than 2 years before the starting date of the course and the student should be at least an Intermediate (B1 Level of CEFR or B2 if the student is extending his/her visa).
• A valid copy of the student’s bank statement which verifies that the student has the appropriate amount of money for each month he/she intends to stay in the UK.
The maintenance amount for each applicant is calculated at £800 per month. For courses of up to 9 months duration the student is required to show that he/she has the full tuition fee plus the appropriate monthly amount for each month he/she intends to stay in the UK. For new applications for a course of more than 9 months students are required to show that they have at least £7200. For extension applications for a course of more than 9 months students are required to show that they have at least £1600.
Student Visitor VISA (SVV OR ESVV)
• A signed copy of the Enrolment form. All sections except the application for Tier 4 are obligatory.
• Photocopy of the student’s passport. The page(s) with the photograph, name, date of birth and passport number.
• A valid copy of the student’s bank statement which verifies that the student has the appropriate amount of money for each month he/she intends to stay in the UK.

Please note If the student is under 16 years old and applying for Summer English for Young Persons course, a Parent/ Guardian Consent Form will also need to be obtained
