Entertainment

Leicester Square and Piccadilly Square are the centre of London night life with clubs, dancing and bars. Normal precautions are advisable. The West End is home to London's theatres and plays.

There are many cinemas throughout the city and particularly in the Piccadilly Soho Square area. But local cinemas are cheaper:

The Virgin Cinemas are located at the junction of Fulham Road and Beaufort Street; the Number 14 bus stops right outside the cinema on Fulham Road. The Riverside Studios in Hammersmith are located off Fulham Palace Road. There is also a nice cinema in Putney High Street on the other side of the river.

For up-to-date information on what's on at the cinemas, theatres etc. just have a look in the weekly TIME OUT magazine. It is full of details on what is worth seeing plus lots of helpful suggestions. There is usually a fresh copy in the School library so you don't have to buy your own - come and borrow ours!
