Prices
Tuition prices do not include registration fee,
accommodation rent, bank charges, airport service, books. The School
reserves the right to introduce a limited number of special offers on
some courses at any time. These offers are limited and acceptance at
these rates cannot be guaranteed.
Exams
The approximate cost of exams depends on the level of English and varies from £95-£110.
Registration fees
There is a £65 registration fee per student:
£30 for tuition and £35 for accommodation. If no
accommodation is booked, the total registration fee is only £30.
There will be a £15 weekly charge for any special dietary
requirements. There is a book charge per student, per course or per
term (see price list). Books can be purchased from the School office
upon arrival when starting a course. Students are responsible for
payment of all bank charges incurred in their enrolment. There is a 3%
surcharge on all accommodation and non-tuition costs if paying by
credit card.
Books
There is a £20 book fee per student, per term.
Books can be bought from the school office before starting a course or
rented from the library.
Completion of payment arrangements
Fees must be paid two weeks or more prior to
student’s arrival at school in order to ensure place in class and
accommodation.
Changes
After receipt of payment any change to accommodation
and/or course arrangement is subject to £25 administrative charge
(see Terms and Conditions of Enrolment).
Visas
Please note that courses of less than 15 hours per week
are not full-time and you will not qualify for a student visa. For more
information please refer to the UKVisas website at http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/
Transfer service
From airport/station to student’s Burlington accommodation: Heathrow £70, Gatwick £90, Luton £90, Stansted £95, Waterloo £70 one way for one student. There will be a £40 charge per extra student.
Waiting charges may be incurred if there is a substantial delay. There
is also a £25 surchargefor juniors students when they request a
return transfer. Detailed information is available from the office.
Special Topic and Business courses
This comprises 15 hours of general English tuition plus 5 hours specialist tuition per week.
Exam preparation classes
Cambridge examination courses start in January, March
and September and the exams take place in March, June and December. See
overleaf for prices.
Afternoon session classes
General English classes from 11.55 to 2.55 pm and 3.00
pm to 6.00 pm are offered at discount rates throughout the year. These
sessions may have up to 22 students. Refer to the prospectus or contact
the Office for more details. See special offer leaflet for current late
session prices.
Refunds
Complete refund, less 10% of tuition price, registration fees, bank and
credit/debit card charges, is only issued if student is refused entry
into the UK. Refund application with original documents must be
submitted to the school before course commences. See conditions of
enrolment for details.
Accommodation
The rent charged for accommodation includes the
School’s fees for providing an accommodation facility. Please
note that during the months of July and August there is an additional
£30 supplement payable per student per week. There is a credit
and debit card charge of 3% payable on accommodation bookings and this
is non-refundable.
School residence
All students will be asked to pay a £50 deposit on
arrival which will be returned to you on your day of departure. The
deposit will cover any damages done to the hostel and lost keys.
